Symptoms of Tourette syndrome typically begin in childhood, and include involuntary movements and vocalizations called tics. Motor and vocal tics may vary throughout the course of a person’s childhood, and usually diminish or disappear in adulthood. Tics usually worsen during times of stress or excitement.

Less than 1% of children have Tourette syndrome. Tics are usually managed with behavioral interventions or medications.

APG Research is currently enrolling a clinical trial for children and adolescents with Tourette syndrome. Please contact us for more information about this opportunity.

Patients who qualify to participate in a study will receive:

  • Assessments by a Board Certified Psychiatrist
  • Investigational medication at no cost
  • Study-related care and monitoring
  • Compensation for time and travel
