ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties with attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. It typically begins in childhood and can persist into adulthood. The core symptoms include inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. ADHD can significantly impact daily functioning, academic performance, work life, and relationships. It is diagnosed based on clinical assessment, including interviews and rating scales, and treatment often involves a combination of medication, behavioral interventions, and support strategies tailored to the individual’s needs.
